About me

I’m Jenny and the passions I want to share with you are knitting, crochet and colour. Colour? Well, I was knitting when Kaffe Fassett took the knitting world by storm in the late seventies. Why use two colours when you could use twenty was his mantra: he was painting with yarns, creating a piece of art. His work was inspirational and I love it to this day.

Now, of course, with all the scrummy hand-dyed and self-patterning yarns it’s so exciting to create beautiful projects without all the joining and weaving-in of hundreds of ends.

Another love of mine is blue and white china and Kaffe Fassett’s use of these designs along with the other amazing colours in his patchwork is stunning.

I am also the busy grandmother of five gorgeous little ones. I love to knit and crochet things for them and hope they will share my love of these crafts one day. Some of my favourite projects are the crochet covered pebbles which I have been working on during the last year. I keep trying out new designs all the time and if you would like to see some of them you can find photos here on Pinterest.

With a bit of luck you might be inspired by my ramblings. I should love to hear from you and see some of your projects.

  1. An interesting read, Jenny. The crochet pebbles would make excellent paper weight Christmas presents or displayed in a bowl. Chris.
